“If I only had one hour to talk to SLPs about the R sound, what would I want to tell them?” This presentation is Lindsey’s answer to that question. “Top 5 Tips to Rock the R” is a summary of what she thinks will give SLPs the most “bang for their buck” when it comes to seeing progress in their R therapy sessions.

There is so much to juggle when getting started with a new client who needs help with the R sound. Therapy can feel stale quickly and progress can be hard to come by. In this presentation, Lindsey discusses the steps that can be easily forgotten when scaffolding the new skill of producing an R sound, as well as elicitation strategies. Abstract

In this presentation, Lindsey dives into a multitude of multi-sensory strategies that can be used to elicit R. Included in the discussion are pointers on determining how and when to use certain cues, as well as therapy video demonstrations.
